Finding the Right Printer
The San Francisco Chronicle and CNET have a new guide to printers that examines four top-ranked printers. Ranging from the $200 HP Photosmart A826 to the $1,300 Epson Stylus Pro 3800, this brief overview can help you get started if your nonprofit is in the market for a new printer.
Keep in mind, however, that if you plan to print a lot of color copies, an in-house printer may not be the best option. When you factor in that printer ink can cost more than the price of crude oil — not to mention upkeep and maintenance costs — using a local copy shop for your prints may be a more economical solution.
