Internationalization and Facebook at this Month's MeetUp
Spring is in the air and so is the March meeting of the San Francisco Online Community Report MeetUp. This month, Nico Vera of Facebook will be joining us to speak about Facebook's internationalization project. We'll discuss internationalization on social networking sites and other tools for building online community. So come join us for an informal discussion with fellow online community folks.
Speaker Bio: Nico Vera is an Engineer at Facebook where he works on the internationalization team. In order to make Facebook available to everyone, everywhere, Facebook's internationalization team is developing an application to allow the Facebook community to translate the site from English to other languages. Facebook is a social utility that connects people with friends and others who work, study and live around them. Over 60 million users from all over the world use Facebook to keep up with friends, upload an unlimited number of photos, share links and videos, and learn more about the people they meet.
