Vote for Your Final Four!
No, I'm not talking about the NCAA championship games. I'm referring to the Case Foundation's Make It Your Own Awards.
The Make It Your Own Awards is an online grants program that challenges people to choose what matters most to them, then decide what kind of community they want, and take action together. The program was developed in response to research findings that many people feel disconnected and don't believe they have the power to make much difference in society. By empowering individuals to come up with their own ideas for social change, the Case Foundation hopes this program will encourage and foster citizen-centered civic participation towards making the world a better place.
The applications are in and it's been narrowed down to 20 finalists from the nearly 5,000 entries. Now here's where your citizen participation comes in. Vote for the four projects you think should make the Final Four. The top four projects will receive $25,000 to help put their idea into action. And you have a chance to help further, as the Case Foundation is giving a $2,500 Good Card to the first 10 people to correctly pick the Final Four grantees. This money can be used to support any US-based charity.
Voting ends April 22nd, so cast your ballot soon!
