Tips for Nonprofit Podcasters
Tue, 07/10/2007 - 3:22pm — Willow Cook
Interested in starting a podcast at your nonprofit, or improving the one you have? The Getting Attention Blog has put together Nine Steps to Great Nonprofit Podcasting, which offers advice for planning a podcast, conducting an interview, and editing your work.
Tips include:
- Keep your podcasts short at the beginning (no longer than 10-15 minutes till you test what works best).
- Stick to a single topic for each podcast.
- Outline your podcast, before you start recording.
- A conversation is more engaging than a monologue.
For ideas on topics for your podcast, be sure to check out Britt Bravo's Seven Ways Nonprofits Can Use Podcasts.
