Free Fundraising Resources Online

This post is for fundraisers (whether or not you're techies). These aren't resources for "online fundraising" — they're fundraising resources that are available online (for free).

Tony Poderis's Fundraising Forum Library includes articles like Non-Profit Fund-Raising Demystified, Campaign Feasibility Studies: Taking The Time To Find Out Whether The Time Is Right, and Annual Fund Giving & "Getting" Guidelines For Your Organization's Board Of Trustees.

Carter McNamara's Free Management Library addresses all manner of topics from Advertising to Volunteers (no "Z" entries yet). The fundraising section includes articles like Board's Role in Fundraising, Hiring Fundraisers — Should You? How Much Should They Be Paid?, Fundraising Software, and What Characterizes a Good Proposal?

Grassroots Fundraising Journal publishes a print magazine and an e-newsletter, both of which are must-reads for (no surprise) grassroots organizations. And each month Kim Klein answers questions from readers in the Ask Kim column. The Ask Kim Archive addresses topics like Using Special Events Selectively, Spending Money to Raise Money, Finding Fiscal Sponsorship, and Expanding Your Donor Base.

Mal Warwick and Associates publishes print and electronic newsletters that provide advice about direct mail and online fundraising.  Each month the Ask Mal column answers questions from readers. The Ask Mal archive addresses topics like How does a startup nonprofit obtain funds?, How can we start raising money without a huge investment?, Is online fundraising cheaper than direct mail?, and When should we ask for a bigger gift?

A Small Change is a blog about fundraising. It includes posts like Raise Supporters Not Support, A Day in the Life of a Major Gifts Officer, How to ASSURE a Gift, and Annual Board Solicitations.
