Give Re-Usable Bags at Conferences not Paper-Based Collateral
If you are like me, when you attend a conference, you end up collecting a lot of paper marketing collateral, 95% of which ends up being recycled or thrown away. I appreciate it when I get something that I can use, like a re-useable coffee mug or a cloth shopping bag. Did you know that even though many prefer paper over plastic there are also significant environmental concerns over paper shopping bags?
If you must give swag at conferences or other events, consider giving re-usable bags instead of paper and other items people just end up throwing away. Here are some resources for re-usable shopping bags that can be branded with your logo and message:
- EcoBags has nonprofit pricing.
- GreenBag customizable bags that are 100% recyclable.
- EnviroSax carries high-end designer shopping bags that can be customized with your logo or organization name.
Not only will people leave with something to remember your organization, they'll leave with a useful bag (that can carry all the other junk they collected too) that can be used for years to come.
