Virtual Stargazing

They've mapped the earth and now they're mapping the heavens. Google released its Beta (i.e. first) version of a new Google Earth feature called Google Sky today, which allows you to explore 100 million galaxies and 200 million stars.

TechSoup recently wrote about the Google Earth Outreach program, which allows nonprofits to use Google Earth's powerful, interactive mapping software to engage supporters and draw attention to your cause here on earth.

Yet is there nonprofit life on other planets? Perhaps we'll soon find out.
