The Bridge Trust Thames Valley (BTTV) provides young people in Maidenhead, England, with a social space to call their own. Although Maidenhead is an affluent area, it also has large pockets of social deprivation. During the day, BTTV runs sessions for young or teen parents of preschool children. In the evenings, the venue is transformed into a youth club with an average of 40-plus people attending each session. Being a part of the club has transformed teenagers, who arrived looking for role models, into responsible young adults.
Through Charity Digital Exchange, the donation program of TechSoup Global partner Charity Digital, the trust received a variety of Microsoft products including Office, Publisher, FrontPage, and Digital Image Suite. Now the organization can use Microsoft Publisher to create its quarterly newsletter, posters, leaflets, and flyers. All of the Microsoft products have given the trust more resources and tools to invest in the thousands of youth living in Maidenhead.
