Software Donations Help Focus German Photo Group

The Forum Fotografie Stuttgart (Photography Forum in Stuttgart) has its roots in the first master class at the training center for professional photography in Stuttgart in 1977–78. The 15 young photographers didn't want to lose contact with each other and met regularly to exchange thoughts and ideas. Succeeding master classes continued this tradition, and in 1982, Forum Fotografie Stuttgart was founded.

From the beginning Forum Fotografie Stuttgart supported young photographers and facilitated the collaboration and training of professional photographers. The forum organizes workshops and seminars about visual design technology and other subjects. It also organizes events such as photographic exhibitions, studio visits, and study trips.

Thanks to Stifter-helfen.de IT for Nonprofits, TechSoup Global Network partner in Germany, Forum Fotografie Stuttgart received a comprehensive software package that included Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite. The software has enabled the forum to provide all the participants of its training courses and seminars with the same user interface and design capabilities. Students now enjoy consistent working conditions in their class projects. By unifying the organization's entire IT infrastructure, the software has also improved the group's communications both internally and externally.
