TechSoup Donor Partners Support Maryland Domestic Violence Shelter
The House of Ruth Maryland works to change attitudes that contribute to domestic violence and provide services to domestic violence victims. The Baltimore, Maryland nonprofit helps victims by offering them temporary shelter in its 84-bed shelter or six transitional housing apartments. Additionally, House of Ruth Maryland offers a 24-hour hotline, counseling, legal services, and advocacy services. The organization serves more than 500 women and children each year.
TechSoup and its donor partners have helped House of Ruth Maryland focus on its mission by providing donations of both software and hardware. The donations have helped ensure the organization's IT infrastructure runs smoothly. House of Ruth Maryland's computers handle everyday tasks with Microsoft Windows and Office and Adobe software, and its entire computer system is efficiently networked with Cisco switches.
