Did you know you can save emails to OneNote?
To set up this functionality, follow a few quick steps:
From now on, any email you are forwarding to me@onenote.com from those email addresses will go to the OneNote notebook and section of your choice.
Quick tip:
You can save the email messages to a different section by altering the email subject line. Type any subject you want for your forwarded message and append @Section Name to the end of the same subject line, replacing the "Section Name" part with the name of an existing section from your notebook.
Every now and then, we all need to take a few notes during a very busy meeting, and OneNote is here to help. With OneNote 2016 for Windows, note taking can be shared too. That means that besides you, other users can take notes in the same notebook.
To use this feature, you need to ensure that your notebook is saved to OneDrive or SharePoint and is shared with the other meeting users:
Once it is saved on OneDrive or SharePoint, go to File > Share > Invite People from your OneNote 2016 desktop app. This will send an email message to everybody you've invited with a link to the shared notebook.
During the meeting, you can also go to File > Share > Share with Meeting from your OneNote 2016 desktop app.
Every previously invited user with write permissions will be able to add notes at the same time! The notes will be synced automatically to the notebook:
Collecting information for your projects just got easier and more fun. You can simply add a OneNote bookmark to your toolbar. The next time you visit a website and find any useful information, click on the bookmark and the page will be automatically clipped to OneNote.
Installing the bookmark is easy.
Regardless of the desktop operating system and browser you are using, visit https://www.onenote.com/Clipper, click the Clip to OneNote button on that page, and drag the button to the bookmarks toolbar:
Open a website of your choice and click on the newly created Clip to OneNote bookmark. This will clip the website image to OneNote. There is a small dialog box where you can add an optional message along with the page clip. The link to the clipped website page is also saved.
The page is now in your notebook, with the typed message and the page link:
