Ashoka identifies and invests in social entrepreneurs in 70 countries, including Germany. Ashoka Germany supports social entrepreneurs in Germany and German-speaking Switzerland. Ashoka fellows are supported in pursuing and developing their ideas with a living stipend, professional support, and access to a global network of peers and consultants. Another important facet of Ashoka Germany's work is to educate the public about social entrepreneurship.
Donations of Microsoft Expression Web, Expression Design, and Office Publisher from Stifter-helfen.de IT for Nonprofits, the German partner of the TechSoup Global Network, improved and sped up Ashoka's communications materials development. The organization also achieved greater efficiency and quality in materials, such as its electronic newsletter booklets and posters.
