The mission of MOMS Orange County is to help women and their families have healthy babies by offering healthcare, education, and access to community services. Each year the organization serves about 5,000 low-income women in Orange County, California who are pregnant or new mothers. Through monthly home visits and group classes, MOMS mothers receive one-on-one education and support during pregnancy and through the baby's first birthday.
The organization has been recognized for its work by the California Department of Health Care Services and the U.S. Congress. TechSoup's software donation program made it possible for MOMS to modernize its IT infrastructure by receiving several licenses of Microsoft software. The new software enabled MOMS to redesign its central database, thereby increasing data collection and analysis efficiency. By decreasing MOMS' technology costs, TechSoup and Microsoft also made it possible for MOMS to increase the number of clients it serves and the range of services it offers.
