100-Year-Old Environmental Group Stays on the Ball with Software Donations

For more than 100 years, Naturschutzbund North Rhine-Westphalia (NABU NRW) has advocated for the environment and promoted environmental awareness in the North Rhine-Westphalia region. With a membership of more than 55,000 members and 50 independent district and municipal chapters statewide, NABU NRW is the largest environmental association in its region. The organization operates a number of programs focusing on landscape conservation and native species protection, provides environmental education programs for children, and publicly weighs in on projects with significant environmental impact.

Looking to improve its information technology operations in a cost-efficient manner, NABU NRW reached out to Stifter-Helfen.de, a member of the TechSoup Global Network. Specifically, NABU NRW sought to upgrade its servers and secured a donation of Microsoft Server software. But the technology help did not end there. NABU NRW also received multiple licenses for the latest version of Microsoft Office for its newly upgraded network.
