The Pontis Foundation is one of the largest grantmaking and operational foundations in Slovakia, with more than 10 years of experience in managing its funds. The foundation's purpose is to connect the sectors of Slovak society with one another, and to link sources of financial support with those who need it. The foundation's programming covers three areas: strengthening of the nongovernmental sector, corporate philanthropy, and democratization and development abroad.
The Pontis Foundation received pro-bono services from Accenture, hardware from HP, and a donation of Microsoft Dynamics CRM from TechSoup Slovakia. The foundation is one of the first nonprofit organizations in Slovakia that has started using a new financial management tool based on Microsoft Dynamics CRM, with the internal name Mafin. It was built with the help of Accenture's donated services. The new software transformed the foundation's work and environment, while enhancing its service-providing capabilities.
