A Chacun Son Everest!

Software Donations Help Sick Children Reach New Heights in France

A Chacun Son Everest!, a French nonprofit organization, translates "to each their own Everest." Founded by Dr. Christine Janin, the first woman to climb Mount Everest, A Chacun Son Everest! helps children battling cancer get past their identity as sick children by literally conquering a mountain. Not only do the children who go on mountain-climbing trips get to rediscover their internal resources and strengths, but they change people's perceptions of them as victims of serious illness. Trips are completely paid for by the organization, whose staff works with participating children to reach their own mountaineering goals. Thanks to software donations, namely Microsoft Windows, Office, Exchange, and Visual Studio software from AdB-SolidaTech, a member of the TechSoup Global Network, A Chacun Son Everest! staff can work more productively and collaborate better to help children battling cancer reach new heights.
