Creating the Future for Hong Kong's Youth with a Little Tech Help
The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs Association of Hong Kong (BGCA) is "Nurture the Young and Create the Future." This beautiful statement encapsulates BGCA's work: helping children and youth attain well-balanced moral, intellectual, physical, and social development. BGCA serves many children through its clubs located throughout Hong Kong.
It should be no surprise that technology plays an important part in keeping BGCA staff connected and collaborating easily and efficiently. Specifically BGCA was looking for Microsoft software like Outlook, an email service that keeps staff connected on a daily basis, and SharePoint, a document and collaboration platform. And through TechDonation, a joint program of TechSoup Global and The Hong Kong Council of Social Services, BGCA was able to receive donated copies of Microsoft Outlook, SharePoint, and more to improve the day-to-day tasks that are part of its work to help Hong Kong's youth.
