Tech Donations Help Canadian Nonprofit Aid Abused Women
Bridges for Women Society (BWS) helps women survivors of abuse and trauma build better futures by offering employment services. The two-decade-old organization, which is based in Victoria, British Columbia, has helped numerous women reclaim their lives and achieve economic independence and security.
BWS' client-centered approach delivers the right tools at the right time to help women achieve long-term success. Clients can receive employment help through in-class instruction, online classes, or career mentorship. BWS also offers its own curriculum designed to help clients break abuse-related patterns that might interfere with their success.
Having access to up-to-date technology is essential in helping people become more employable in today's job market. BWS relies on community partner TechSoup Canada to keep its computer lab and online classes relevant and accessible. Through TechSoup Canada, BWS has received donated Adobe, Microsoft, and GiftWorks software licenses.
