Thanks to Donated IT, It's Never Too Late to Learn for Australian Seniors
Although the senior residents living in and around Busselton in Western Australia had spent most of their lives without computers, they decided it was not too late to change that. Together they formed the Busselton Seniors Computer Club Inc. (BUSNET) to learn about computing and information technology and encourage other seniors to do the same.
To promote the resources offered by their newly formed club and provide ongoing education, BUSNET volunteers decided they would set up a website and publish a monthly magazine. DonorTEC, the Australian software donation program operated by TechSoup Global Network's Connecting Up, provided the Microsoft Windows software. In addition, it equipped them with the Microsoft Expression Web used for building BUSNET's website and Microsoft Office software for writing and publishing its magazine.
