Volunteering at Any Age Becomes Easier with Tech Donations
Proving that anyone has the power to make a difference, kidServe Seattle connects area youth with volunteer opportunities.
Faced with the challenge of finding an easy way to connect kids with age-appropriate volunteer opportunities, kidServe Seattle turned to TechSoup. A donation of Microsoft Office software gave kidServe Seattle the tools to create an online database for volunteer event registration. The online database lets nonprofit partners post their volunteer needs, which community members can respond to by registering.
Other donated Microsoft programs are used to manage day-to-day tasks at the organization like finances, scheduling, and creating reports. And the organization's growing database of willing volunteers and in-need nonprofits has benefited from the donation of Microsoft SQL Server software.
