Software Donations Help Refugees Start New Life in Austria

The charitable association menschen.leben, founded in 2006, is active in the areas of education, language, and care for refugees. It also provides support for women affected by migration, psychological care for refugees seeking asylum, and services for youth.

menschen.leben works in six Austrian regions: Vienna, Salzburg, Tirol, Vorarlberg, Burgenland, and Lower Austria. The charity's diverse work ranges from caring for fugitive unaccompanied minors to intercultural psychotherapy for individuals seeking asylum in Austria. menschen.leben offers a wide variety of services around counseling, education, training, and integration, including German classes for refugees. Furthermore, the charity offers social service work for young people from 12 to 23 years of age, focusing on local communities in Lower Austria.

Through Stifter-helfen.at's IT for Nonprofits program, menschen.leben received a comprehensive Microsoft package. The software donation puts an end to the ongoing IT problems the charity faced and helps to save costs. The products are fully compatible, which considerably improves internal information and communication. Processes and workflow have now become much more efficient, making it much easier for staff to work together.
