Software Donations Aid Computer Classes for Abandoned Children in Poland

SOS Children's Villages in Poland (SOS Wioski Dziecięce w Polsce) cares for abandoned children, orphans, and children from dysfunctional families. The organization provides family foster care in the form of SOS children's villages. It also offers short-term care projects, which provide temporary housing and safe havens for children awaiting a family court decision on their final location.

At the moment, the NGO is serving 1,250 children; it hopes to reach 3,000 by 2016. The organization received a donation of Microsoft products from Bank Drugiej Rki, TechSoup Global's partner in Poland. This software enabled the organization to have legal software and provided the groundwork to set up computer classes in four children's villages.
