Software Donations Enrich Miami Children's Museum

Miami Children's Museum (MCM) is dedicated to enriching the lives of all children by fostering a love of learning and enabling children to realize their highest potential. Visitors of all ages are encouraged to play, learn, imagine, and create. MCM is among the 10 largest children's museums in the United States and the only one in Florida's Miami-Dade County. Since it was founded in 1983, MCM has received more than 1.5 million visitors, and its programs reach more than 300,000 children each year. MCM features 14 galleries of interactive exhibits. Its newest exhibit, Water Wise, incorporates environmental science, physics, math, geography, and civic engagement. In addition to its permanent exhibits, MCM offers a wide variety of children's programs and activities, including drop-in events, early childhood classes, guest performers, artists in residence, outreach programs, camps, after-school programs, a child-care center, and a charter school.

MCM relies on Microsoft donations to support its mission and expand its impact on the community. Microsoft products are used to manage exhibits, events, and programming, which enhance visitor experiences, solicit funders, and communicate with members and visitors. Microsoft Outlook, for example, is used for email communication with staff, visitors, members, vendors, partners, and other parties. Excel helps manage the museum's donor solicitation list, and PowerPoint is used in presentations to donors, sponsors, and potential investors.
