Ready to Teach with Help from TechSoup Bulgaria
Teach for Bulgaria's goal is for every child in Bulgaria to have access to a quality education. Like similar organizations in other countries, Teach for Bulgaria endeavors to reach this goal by adapting the Teach for America model in its country. The organization was founded in July 2010 and placed its first class of teachers in Bulgarian schools in September 2011.
Getting the organization off the ground meant designing training materials for its teacher certification program and managing stakeholder communications. Microsoft Office software acquired through a donation from TechSoup Bulgaria allowed the organization to be ready for action on its first day of operation. The results of this early efficiency and productivity are 35 well-trained teachers, ready to change the lives of Bulgarian children and to help them to realize their full potential.
