Donated IT Lets The Humour Foundation Deliver the Best Medicine to Sick Kids
The people behind the The Humour Foundation truly believe that laughter is the best medicine, which is why they send Clown Doctors to major children's hospitals throughout Australia, touching the lives of more than 85,000 kids every year.
When The Humour Foundation decided to upgrade its operations from a peer-to-peer system to a system networked through a server, it needed assistance with updating the computer network's operating system and keeping information technology costs low.
Luckily The Humour Foundation found help through DonorTec, the software donation program run by Connecting Up Australia, a member of the TechSoup Global Network. DonorTec helped The Humour Foundation secure a donation of seven Microsoft software licenses, resulting in substantial savings that were redirected to the organization's programs.
